ash banquet

2025

Ash Banquet is a series of abstract jars made from clay foam, acrylic, and resin. Each holds ashes from burned letters to past lovers, griefs, and former selves—sealed as a ritual of closure.

Through warped forms and layered textures, the collection transforms emotional weight into something contained, witnessed, and reimagined.

A funeral for one’s hate.
A strange banquet.
A quiet celebration of release.

Ash Banquet installation by contemporary artist Sophia Huang, mixed media sculpture installation with resin forms, painted objects, and candles arranged in ceremonial still life
